It couldnt be much easier: less than half an hour after emerging from Phuket airport, youre at your luxurious private pool villa, taking in awe-inspiring sea views while being served a refreshing welcome drink by a member of the villas full-time staff.
Stress falls away dramatically. The most urgent decisions you now face are which Thai delicacies to request from your private chef, and whether to opt for a massage treatment in the lavish spa room, a lazy sea-view swim in the huge villa pool or a snooze on a sunbed under a big parasol.
Welcome to Malaiwana Villa M, an exquisite five-bedroom holiday home in the ultra-exclusive Malaiwana estate. Its prime location on the hillside overlooks Nai Thon Beach, an idyllic one-kilometre stretch of sand on the Thai islands peaceful northwest coast.
Families and groups will find ample comforts here, with the 25-metre pool on the expansive terrace, stylish outdoor and indoor living areas and a Western guest kitchen, plus an entertainment room, a superbly well-equipped gym and a spa room.
Thai-style peaked roofs and extensive use of fine timber add a touch of grandeur and drama to the villas classic aesthetic.

Though a handful of excellent restaurants are found nearby, dining in is a delight at Villa M, not only because of its sea-view indoor and outdoor dining areas but also thanks the villas skilled chef, who prepares every meal, either from a suggestion menu or from guest requests. Provisions are charged at cost plus 20%.
For holiday delights beyond simply relaxing in the villa, the beach below with its soft sand, casual sea-view bars and surf/stand-up paddling is just a short walk away. Or the villa manager will help arrange in-house spa treatments, yacht charters, scuba diving daytrips, golf bookings, shopping excursions, tours and more.
Malaiwana estate is set on the hillside at the south end of Nai Thon Beach. A one-kilometre stretch of golden sand, water activities including standup paddle and snorkelling and low-key dining choices all lie within a few hundred metres of the estate. Situated just nine kilometres from Phuket airport, Nai Thon retains a sleepy village atmosphere. Though the beach could no longer be considered a â€hidden gemâ€, it retains its lustre as a lesser-visited, picturesque spot along Phukets peaceful north-west coast.
