A picturesque wood of walnut trees is the setting for this rustic country house, located a few kilometres from the centre of Marta, an attractive fishing village of Etruscan origin on the shores of Lake Bolsena. The central core of the building, dating back to 1600, has been gradually expanded over the years and the latest renovation, made by the present owners, has produced its current configuration: a two-storey house clad in stone with a large, bright living area, which extends outside to the furnished portico, and four large bedrooms. Travertine stone, terracotta bricks and large wooden ceiling beams are the materials that characterize the interior, enlivened by the brilliant, energetic tones of red and ocher for the walls and by carefully decorated rooms, personalized with floral decorations, traditional furniture and ethnic accessories: a successful melting pot of styles and inspirations that confers style and personality on this cosy home which, outside, is completed by a manicured lush fenced-in garden with large lawn areas, ideal for families with children, with a vast assortment of plants and a beautiful, big swimming pool situated right in front of the portico.
