Ocho Rios 10 began its life as a 17th Century fortress, but has since been brilliantly restored to become a delightful luxury home featuring designer furniture and fabrics imported from the UK and Europe, with enough space to sleep twelve guests in the utmost comfort. The original thick rough stone walls and gun slots are still in place as reminders of the property�s days as a British fort defending against Spanish invaders and pirates. The home has played host to a number of famous names such as Sir Winston Churchill, Queen Mary, Dr Henry Kissinger, and Drew Barrymore among others, all documented in the fascinating guest book, while old photos of celebrity guests sit atop the living room�s grand piano. Spread across two buildings, separated by a 60ft stone path across the lawn, three bedrooms are found in the main house, while the remaining three are found in the Schoolhouse building. All six bedrooms feature en-suite bathrooms, and the three in the main building also all have access to an 80ft balcony. In the Schoolhouse, the bedroom on the lower floor benefits from direct beach access. Outside you will find an expansive terrace with a private swimming pool and an array of sunloungers, including some submerged in the pool itself. Just aside from this pool terrace you will find a private hot tub, surrounded by trees to provide shade and a picturesque, natural setting while you relax. With incredible on-estate amenities on offer, a rich history, and an ideal location, Ocho Rios 10 is the perfect base for your Caribbean vacation.
