A rare find along Bali's south-west coast, this unique six-bedroom home, comprises a four-bedroom main villa, which can be rented alone, and a charming two-bedroom guesthouse located in a quiet corner of the grounds. Sungai Tinggi Beach Villa enjoys 100 metres of private beach frontage on almost 12,000 sqm of lush gardens, and makes an idyllic wedding venue.
The villa is beautifully designed and blends harmoniously with the natural environment. Coupled with the infectious smiles of the warm and friendly staff, and the amazing cuisine prepared by the dedicated in-house chef, its no wonder guests are captivated by Sungai Tinggi Beach Villas appeal and authenticity.
Sungai Tinggi Beach Villa is located in the village of Pererenan in the Canggu area, next to the windswept beach, which is famous among surfers for its powerful breaks. There is a strong current here, however, so swimming is not recommended. In the immediate vicinity are two or three other villas , rice fields, the river estuary, a temple and the general buzz of Balinese village life. There are no shops in the village apart from a few small local stores selling only the very basics, but there are two cafes beside the beach, both of which are popular with surfers. Ombak Cafe does a great selection of Western and Indonesian favourites along with a seafood barbecue, all served on the first floor vantage point.
A twenty-minute walk along the sand (or 4km by road) will bring you to Echo Beach with its multitude of beachfront eateries, including The Beach House, which offers indoor and outdoor seating, and an extensive international menu, together with a daily barbecue of fresh fish, lobster, giant prawns, clams, steaks, kebabs etc. Live music takes place here on Sunday evenings, starting at around sunset. There is a huge choice of fine dining, as well as mid-range, and cheap and cheerful restaurants in Seminyak (10km). Seminyak is also home to numerous designer boutiques. For horse riders, the Kuda P stables are just 3km away, while one of the most dramatic and venerated temples in Bali, Pura Tanah Lot, is 10km ride.

Sungai Tinggi Beach Villa is blessed with a sublime beachfront location near the rural village of Pererenan on Bali's south-west coast. Here guests can take a leisurely sunset stroll along the quiet beach, surf on one of the island's best breaks, or admire the fishermen in their brightly coloured jukungs (traditional fishing boats) hauling in the daily catch. In this traditional rural setting, where daily offerings at the village temple and meticulous tending of rice fields are the norm, guests are privy to a real slice of local Bali life. However, should the bright city lights beckon, the upmarket restaurants, bars and shops of cosmopolitan Seminyak are just a 30-minute drive away and your car and driver are on standby to whisk you there.
