Outside, highlights include a private verandah with original architecture, alfresco dining area, manicured tropical garden, a terrace with sun loungers and a private pool. Thank you for a wonderful stay in a stunning country! What a beautiful property filled with adventure, beauty and wonderful memories for our family. From daily dips in the pool to evening walks with the monkeys - this truly was a wonderful stay. Lou-Ann, Mania and the rest of the staff are wonderful, friendly and so kind. Thank you to Mania and Lou-Ann for taking our daughter in as their own, walking her to see the fish and making breakfast with her.

To the owners,What an honor it was being some of the first guests at the Porters Great House Cottage! Upon our arrival we slithered down the jungle draped driveway spotting dozens of Barbadian Green Monkeys! We were pleasantly surprised that the cottage sat just next to the historic plantation home and its rolling tropical gardens, koi ponds and sprawling outdoor lounge areas. We prayed in the chapel on Palm Sunday and had an Easter Egg hunt on the spongy backyard grasses before Easter. While these are some of our favorite spring holiday traditions at home they were so much more fun and memorable in this paradise! We tried very hard to take full advantage of all that this property had to offer and couldn’t even scratch the surface! The cottage smelled of the island’s flora, beautiful and fresh! Everyday we spotted new details in each of the home’s decorations. The furniture was comfortable, the flow was comfortable - everything was comfortable and allowed full vacation mode to set in instantly! The staff around the grounds were always smiling, greeting us by name and teaching our children about the local environment. Our cook, Fay, made sure we ate local favorites but accommodated us and surprised us with her own delicious twists on our routine requests! Mania sincerely cared for the home and took an interest in our kids, asking them questions about their days and adventures. Our hopes in writing this is to communicate our utmost thanks. We appreciated the trust you left in your guests and the respect you showed for them by opening your personal spaces for their use - it was very generous.
