If you’re heading to Plum Bay for your Saint Martin getaway, there’s a good chance you love the seaside. It’s not only the velvet sands of Plum Bay on offer though, so when you’re ready to explore a little further afield, you’ll find plenty of wonderful, pristine beaches within easy reaching distance, dotted all over the island. Our favorite beaches that are well worth a visit include Baie Rouge Beach to the north of Saint Martin, Baie Longue Beach close to the border with Sint Maarten, Cupecoy Beach located on the Dutch side, and the famous Maho Beach, where you can almost touch the jumbo jet planes as they fly over the beach to land at the nearby airstrip.
If it’s adventure you’re after, or something to build memories for your little ones, then we have two attractions that are top of our list; Rainforest Adventures in Sint Maarten, and the Seaside Nature Park, also in Sint Maarten. Restaurants near Plum Bay
When it’s time for dinner and you fancy heading out to explore the island to find your food, then we recommend heading to the nearby Port Cupecoy. You’ll need to cross the border from Saint Martin into Sint Maarten, but the Port is just on the other side where the closest Carrefour Express is also located.
Here, you will find a wonderful, picturesque port with a selection of delectable restaurants. If you want to make the most of the view, our favorite is Big Cees Water Front Dining, which offers calming views of the bobbing boats as you enjoy your meal. We also recommend the Argentinian inspired cuisine of Cambuci, the classy elegance of Rendez Vous Lounge, the authentic Italian flavors of Mama, and when you’re ready to find a chilled drink to see you through to the end of the night, head to Stevez Bar close to the water’s edge.
