Reunion Resort is a fantastic place for anyone who wants to stay fit and healthy. And although there’s a state-of-the-art fitness center at the resort, working out doesn’t have to mean spending hours in the gym.
Here are some of the fun options for keeping fit at Reunion Resort (don’t forget to check out our membership page for more details on who can access what).
Join a tennis class
Reunion Resort is home to six well-lit HydroGrid tennis courts, as well as a tennis shop. Pro teachers are on hand to offer private or group lessons, and there are regular clinics aimed at improving your cardio and racquet skills. You can even rent a ball machine for perfecting that backhand.
Go to the gym
Apart from all of the other activities listed here, Reunion also has a modern indoor fitness center. Head to this gym for weights and cardio training, or get your pulse racing by joining a guided class.
Take a dip
When the sun’s shining there’s no better way to keep fit than by taking a dip at one of Reunion Resort’s incredible pools. Our guides to the resort’s water park and swimming pools have more information on where you can swim.
Rent a bike
Reunion Resort is big. One of the best ways to get around is by renting your own set of wheels. Regular bikes are available for kids and adults alike, or you could rent a 4-wheeled Surrey bike for the whole family and cruise around while protected from the sun.
Follow an activity trail
Walking and biking trails snake their way through Reunion Resort, passing lakes, golf courses and wetland areas. Along the way you’ll find playgrounds, parks, pools and wildlife viewing areas.
Play volleyball
Reunion Resort is home to two beach volleyball courts, making it the ideal spot for an afternoon of fun in the sun. There’s one court within the water park; the other is right beside the tennis courts.
Practice your Downward Dog
Yoga is the ideal way to start your day in Florida. There are regular morning sessions at the Heritage Crossing Ballroom, allowing you to focus on flexibility and mindfulness before enjoying a fun day at the resort.
Take a jog (or a brisk walk)
A running and walking club meets regularly at Reunion, allowing you to take a guided tour through the resort’s streets. It’s a great way to get your bearings and keep fit at the same time.
Try your hand at pickleball
This game with a funny name is one of the fastest growing sports in the USA. Whether you’re an experienced player or a total newbie, you can sign up for court time or attend a pickleball clinic. While less strenuous than tennis, you’ll still get a great workout!
Enjoy a game of Bocce Ball
Gather your family and friends and enjoy playing this classic Italian bowling game during your stay at Reunion Resort. The bocce ball courts are found at the Cove at Seven Eagles, and courts are available when the Cove Bar is open.
Tee off, or kick off!
Not only does Reunion Resort offer three world-class championship golf courses, there’s also a driving range, golf tuition, a golf clubhouse and a pro shop. If you fancy something a little different, gather the whole family for a fun game of Footgolf, played like regular golf, but with a football instead!
