If you do wish to visit during the Easter break, you can expect significantly more visitors, but you will be able to experience very authentic celebrations in the towns around the region. The downside of traveling in August is that the heat may be a little too much for some, soaring beyond the thirties, which means you will need to pay extra attention to ensuring you have sunblock and water with you at all times, and, as schools have broken up in many places around the world and families will be looking to travel at this time, you may find the region is very busy. This doesn’t mean you won’t have a great time, it simply means you may need to plan your day accordingly to avoid crowds as much as possible, for example, visiting cultural sites in the morning and late afternoon.
