Shoal Bay Beach Anguilla
Glistening waters, talcum powder sands and stunning vistas are just a few of the things you’ll find on Shoal Bay Beach Anguilla. Known as one of the best beaches, it attracts plenty of visitors from the island as well as day-trippers from nearby Saint Marteen. The sand is as white as can be, lined with tiny shell fragments that lend a magical sheen to the entire beach. The quiet seas here are safe for all the family and perfect for swimming, snorkeling, diving, kayaking and windsurfing. Sandy Ground Beach
Said to truly capture the essence of Anguilla Sandy Ground is as diverse as the island itself. Located on Road Bay the beach is backed by the island’s rich rainforest interior and rolling green hills. Described as eclectic, beautiful, friendly and unique Sandy Ground offers something for everyone with calm seas, white sands and boats bobbing out in the gentle sea. To the north end the beach comes alive with pumping music, local events, and an exciting nightlife scene at The Pumphouse, the Elvis Bar and Sammy’s Place and a range of other restaurants and bars along the bay. Little Bay
A hidden gem nestled in northwest Anguilla this stunning bay is hard to find but certainly worth the wait. Little Bay is an exquisite spot set on the coast of Crocus Bay just north of The Valley. This blue lagoon in enclosed by cliffs and can only be accessed by shuttle boat or down a cliff-side rope ladder. Nevertheless the effort to reach this secluded slice of paradise is worth the journey. Cliff top mansions overlook the bay where you will find pristine sands, turquoise seas and plenty of peace and quiet. Boats are not allowed to moor here so the waters are clear to roam; there’s also no surf making it an excellent snorkeling site with an abundance of tropical fish below the surface and friendly pelicans swimming alongside you. Due to the lack of facilities available visitors are advised to pack towels, drinking water and a picnic.
Rendezvous Bay Beach
Rendezvous Bay is a beach walkers paradise with its perfect sweep of soft, white sand. Located on the Caribbean side of the island the bay boasts perfect views over the calm sea and Saint Marteen beyond. On the eastern side lies one of the oldest hotels in Anguilla and one of the first on the island, the Rendezvous Bay Hotel. On the east side is the Anguilla Great House Hotel, Bankie Banx’s Dune Preserve and a variety of other great places to eat, drink and be merry. This stunning beach is perfect for sunbathing, swimming, water activities and other beach-based fun. Rendezvous was once the site of a key battle for colonial control over the island, making it of historical significance across the Caribbean. Barnes Bay
Barnes Bay boasts year-round sun, white sandy beaches, crystal clear waters and a wealth of exciting things to see and do. Located on the South West coast of Anguilla, Barnes offers plenty of peace and quiet with minimal crowds and facilities other than a snack bar and beach vendors.
