Which Disney World park is the biggest?
Let’s have a look at the size of each Disney Park in acres.

- Disney’s Hollywood Studios – 154 acres
- Epcot – 300 acres
- Disney’s Animal Kingdom – 500 acres

How big is Disney World in acres?
If you haven’t been to Orlando, it’s hard to comprehend just how big Disney really is. If you tally up the total acres that each park covers, it comes to around 1,100 acres. Seems like a lot, doesn’t it?
However, Disney World actually covers over 25,000 acres, which is around 43 square miles. If you need some context, that is the same size as the entire city of San Francisco! Big enough to have its own zip code, this enormous resort attracts over 50 million visitors each year. But why are there so many more acres belonging to Disney World that don’t make up the parks?
Well, as mentioned, on top of the parks, Disney World also offers two water parks and four golf courses. On top of that, they also own a whopping 25+ hotels that cover some serious ground. What’s even more fascinating, is that only half of the land at Disney World is actually being used. A lot of the land owned by Disney is wetland so can’t be built on, whilst the rest is being kept for conservation. This means there’s always a chance of expansion!

How big is Disney World compared to Disneyland?
The biggest difference between Disney World in Orlando and Disneyland is the size. Although California’s theme park is still packed with fun attractions where you could easily spend weeks enjoying, it only covers 500 acres, compared to Disney World’s 25,000 acres. This means it could actually fit inside Disney World Orlando 51 times!
Both Disney World and Disneyland offer four parks in total. However, Disneyland offers a total of 49 rides and 53 attractions. Disney World, on the other hand, offers 52 rides and an estimated further 129 attractions. In terms of rides, there isn’t much difference between the two, but DIsney World definitely wins the crown for more attractions.
You may be surprised to see that, in the grand scheme of things, Disneyland doesn’t actually offer much less than Disney World, especially considering how much bigger the park in Orlando is compared to the park in California. This is mostly down to the extra, unused land that Disney World owns.
